Our client a renowned US based telecommunication solution provider based in KL (near bangsar) is current seeking the following positions either full time or contract basis:



Prerequisites
· All must positions have Bachelors Degree or equivalent
· All must positions have minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant working experience


a). ROLE TITLE: Software Design Engineer – Professional Services

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:-
· Competent software development skills acquired in:
o Software development in a UNIX environment (preferably Solaris & HP-UX)
o Working experience in Relational Database technology (preferably Oracle)
o A structured programming language such as C, C++ or Java (enterprise Java not desired)
o Scripting languages such as Shell, tcl, DCL
o Experience with XML
o Experience working on multi-threaded applications preferred
· Track record of full project delivery from defining requirements to final deployment.
· Demonstrable analysis abilities
· Good verbal and written communication in English
· Documentation skills like writing proposal, test plans, design specifications
· Knowledge of Software Development Methodology
· Problem Solving and trouble shooting skills

Additional essential skills required:
· Experience in Telco is preferred e.g. Billing or Mediation system


b). ROLE TITLE: Software Engineer – Professional Services

c). Role Title: Lead Engineer
Department: Professional Services

Essential Skills:-
· Strong leadership and drive.
· Team leadership ability.
· Strong technical skills and understanding gained through previous development experience.
· Customer Interaction.
· Project Development Lifecycle.
· Design and development methodologies.
· Deep understanding of billing and mediation and the telecoms.
· Strong UNIX skills
· Skilled with Relational Databases, preferably Oracle

Additional essential skills required:

· Recent (last 2-3 years) experience in Enterprise Business applications. Some examples of the desired applications (not limited to) Billing, mediation, conversions using ETL, POS, banking (credit card processing), Trading platforms etc. On the other hand, kernel or device driver development, operations, reporting/ tools are not enterprise business applications.
· Recent (last 2-3 years) experience in high volume, high performance transaction software application involving large databases Recent Programming experience in C, C++ or "CORE" JAVA. Enterprise JAVA is not desired.
· SQL and PL/SQL are highly desired skills
· Experience in UNIX environments as primary platform. In depth knowledge and experience eg. Experience troubleshooting UNIX environment issues including troubleshooting memory, CPU usage, I/O and disk space. Lightly experienced in UNIX with major work on non- Unix platform are not desired
