The organic movement, which started with organic food, is moving to the
bedroom in a big way. “The bedroom? “ you say. Yes, my dear, the bedroom,
where organic mattresses and organic bedding are becoming an important new
trend in the quest for a healthier lifestyle.
The organic bedroom trend is motivated by some very recent disturbing
discoveries about the petroleum-based foam mattresses most of us sleep on every
night. Studies of household dust have confirmed that your mattress is likely one
of the most significant sources of cancer-causing chemicals in your home. The
average mattress consists of petroleum-based foam covered in petroleum-based
polyester fabric. During its 10-year average lifetime, a foam mattress loses up
to half its weight, and the lost weight goes on your bedroom floor in the form of
toxic dust and in the air in the form of formaldehyde gas which is a by-product
of the foam breakdown. Those dust bunnies under your bed could be a real threat
to your health, unless you use an organic mattress which does not break down
into these toxic by-products.
The foam mattress story gets even more scary. The average petroleum-based
foam queen-sized mattress is soaked in about a pound of fire retardant chemicals
called PDBEs, which have already been banned in Europe, but not in North
America. PDBEs are chemicals which are similar to the banned PCBs, and
they build up in the body like DDT and PCBs. The PDBEs are used because
they are the simplest and cheapest way to conform to United States mattress
fire resistance codes. They are also promoted by the chemical industry, which
recently sponsored tightening of the mattress fire resistance codes, which
will cause even greater quantities of PDBEs to be used in the manufacture of
mattresses beginning in 2006. While these new codes will save an estimated
27 lives a year from fires, these new regulations play Russian roulette with the
future health of the 285 million Americans that sleep on these petroleum-based
foam mattresses. Those calling for a ban on PDBEs say the greater danger is not
the lives lost in fires, but the potentially millions of cases of cancer caused by
exposure to these chemicals over the coming decades.
The solution to this problem is to remove petroleum-based bedding from your
home, and this has spawned the burgeoning organic bedroom movement. The
cornerstone of this trend is the organic mattress, which is the same kind of
mattresses our ancestors used before the rise of the petrochemical industry after
World War II. It is also interesting to note that current cancer rates are more
than 5 times higher than before World War II, when everybody was sleeping on
organic mattresses by definition, because there was no petrochemical industry
during those times.
Examples of an organic mattress include:
1. Organic cotton and wool batting innerspring mattresses with an organic cotton
fabric cover. Wool is naturally fire retardant and meets all US fire codes.
2. A Natural latex mattress, whose foam is made from the latex sap of the rubber
tree and which require no fire retardants because natural rubber does not burn
well.
3. Luxury organic mattresses which use combination of all three materials,
organic cotton, wool, and latex, to produce maximum comfort mattresses that
rival any non-organic mattresses.
4. All organic cotton mattresses. Although cotton does not burn well, it requires a
doctor’s prescription because cotton does not meet US fire resistance codes.
Organic mattresses also have comfort advantages over traditional petroleumbased
foam mattresses. They wick away moisture from the body much more
thoroughly than clammy polyester and man-made foam, stopping night sweating
and cutting down on problems like athlete’s foot and jock itch. Wool also regulates
body temperature very well, which is important for a restful sleep. Natural latex
foam and wool are resistant to dust mites, which cause allergies in many people,
and organic cotton and latex foam are both hypoallergenic materials. Organic
mattresses are also considered a must for people with chemical sensitivities.
Major North American manufacturers of organic mattresses include Vivetique/
Crown City Mattress, located in South El Monte, California, Royal Pedic,
headquartered in Beverly Hills, California, and Obasan, located in Ottawa,
Canada. Retailers of organic mattresses include a variety of local mattress stores
who carry products from these manufacturers, and nationwide web retailers, like
Dax Stores, which often have the best prices for these mattresses.
Mark Sweiger is a freelance reporter on home and garden topics and ecological news, and he
can be reached via email at msweiger@NOSPAMearthlink.net . He is a definite believer in the
value of using organic sheets and organic mattresses.

The recession that the economy is witnessing these days
is the worst ever in the history of the world economics.
Irrespective that it is a developing country, developed
country or an underdeveloped country no one is being
untouched by the evils of the recession.
There are people who have no other way to make money,
after being asked to leave from the job positions that they
were holding. In a situation like this, expecting that after
completing your educational degree you would be to get a
jog easily is like living in a dream world. In fact, people
who are highly educated with years of experience are
sitting back home for a simple reason being cost cutting
regime undertaken by the giant companies. The only way
to make money is through home business.
It is so true when some one said it is easier said than done.
To start business there are so many aspects that one need
to consider. You just cant wake up one fine day and say
that lets have a home business. If you push your limits a
little you would see that there are many works from home
opportunities that are available in the market but, you have
closed your eyes to it.
In fact, the comfort zone gets challenged and that is why
people are reluctant to look around for the work at home
options. The work at home alternative has various ways
with which you could make money by work at home. With
the intervention of internet there are these online work at
home projects that would require almost no or nominal
investment to proceed with. You need to understand the
basic technicalities around the computer functioning and
internet surfing. If you could handle these two you are
good to go.
If you are looking at a work at home that you would take
up as serious living measure then, you should be thinking
to make money by going with the business plan. In case
you are hesitant about business startup you could try your
hands on franchise business. The franchise business could
be understood as a right or legal permission that you get
forms a company to sell their goods and services in a
limited geographical area.
In case you go for the franchise business the only benefit
that you have is that you would have the ready goodwill
of the company that you are willing to franchise. This
would minimize the risk. As because you are selling the
products and services of the company that already has a
reputation in the market, the goods would sell. It is up to
you how much you could sell through a franchise business
depending upon your marketing tact ticks.
In case you want to start your own home business then
you should be very sure of what and how you would be
proceeding with the business plan that you have in your
mind. In case you do not have any such plan but have
the intention to start business then you could go for the
business startup kits and business guides that are available
in the market.

The Kali Party
For those who believe that the Indian concept of time in terms
of epochal ages (of krita, treta, dwapara and kali ages) are
speculations of wise men of the past, it may be time to take
another look at the principle guiding their beliefs. For, a good
many of the men and women who form parts of influential
community and the ones who don the garb of leaders these days
definitely exhibit the characteristics of leaders and nobility of
age of kali as discussed in the ancient literature.
In the age of kali, say the puranas which form the traditional
Indian history,Any one with enough of essential resources can
become the ruler and exert his authority over others and that
the human virtues touch the nadir. If the late twelfth and 13th
centuries (when there were a lot of barbarian muslim invasions)
exemplified this excessive wickedness of age of kali much more
than the centuries that preceeded, the present age is as good a
representative of the same if not better.
There was a time and there was a place. I have been to the place.
The place is sendamangalam, in the present day tirukkoyilur
taluk in south arcot district in tamil nadu and in a now nondescript
village of tirunamanallur, lies the much ruined temple
fort with vestiges of rampart walls, moat, and what may be
vaguely described as damaged remains of palace buildings and
bathing pools spread all over the place, and this bears silent
testimony to the glory of two of the remarkable men who despite
facing all odds and a severe shortage of resources in terms of
men and gold upheld truth and rule of law with a characteristic
display of great valour for the last time in the history of the
subcontinent. They were the late pallava chieftains of 13th
century A.D (Kopperunjinga deva I and II) who held sway in
the region and finally perished without successors while making
one last attempt to prevent corrupt, mediocre and oppurtunistic
hordes from rising to power. They fought hard for the sake of
justice, truth and compassion.
The story of the two chieftains and their principality was the
only positive thing in an otherwise dark and gloomy period.
Their fiery elegance and never-say-die attitude does not come
down to us today.
Of the many political parties today, the BJP(BHARATIYA
JANATA PARTY) and its allies that survive on populism,
parochialism and opportunism seem to be the contemporary
legatees of the dark dynasties of medieval times that foxily
exploited the political confusion, corruption, ambiguity,
succession crises, turmoil, weaknesses and anarchy and had
often clashed catastrophically with the superpowers of the day
like the Cholas and Pallavas. The wounds and humiliations
suffered by those dynasties of past are seemingly being carried
during modern times by BJP and allies who are looking for an
oppurtunity to wipe out the same. Only a layman’s knowledge
of medieval and late medieval history is needed to understand
BJP’s cunning psychopolitics.
The BJP and allies give an impression that in matters of religion
their say should be given the highest priority and that all matters
concerning history and religion will be settled by them. nothing
can cause as much harm to a faith and for that matter to democracy
as creedalization and disregard for individuality.
A lot of factors have contributed to BJP’s successes though
marginal it may be in the south. A little understanding of political
changes and demographic and cultural shifts in the region of
south from late medieval ages on give a clue to the same. After
the complete decline and fading out of the great ancient clans of
pallavas and cholas during the late 13th century A.D, There were
a lot of political disturbances in south. A number of petty chiefs
with obscure origin and questionable credibility surfaced and
exited the scene. The impact on life and society was profound
and most observedly the great ancient temples of Chidambaram
and Srirangam and a lot many other temples in the region went
without worship for a period of at least sixty years during the
14th century. This itself points to a great change in demographic
settings.
With the advent of new chieftains and those patronized by them,
the transactional relationship between the ruler and subjects
that had existed for a long period underwent a change and the
new patronage patterns were distinctly different and in many
cases were diametrically opposed to the patronage patterns of
the pallava and chola dynasties. This trend intensified with the
advent of vijayanagar dynasty from the 15th century onwards.
The change in administrative set up and style from 15th century
onwards is verifiable from the available inscriptions of that
period.
A vast majority of present day brahmins of Tamil nadu or ‘ tam
brams ’ as their diaspora is known, and also a big majority of
present populace of Tamil nadu, have descended from the ones
who came during and after the vijayanagar period and mostly
from the deccan region where this dynasty was housed. A good
number of ‘tambrams’ are great supporters of BJP and the party
draws a lot of assistance from them.
The party’s habit of manipulating evidences, puttingforth false
claims, rewriting history etc is also not without prior examples
and parallels. During the late 18th century the maratha serfoji,
who was appointed by British as titular governor of tanjore under
their supervision undertook a circumambulation of the chola
country visiting temples sung by great nayanmar saints of the
yore. Following this he commissioned a marathi/kannada work
on his tour. Two events during this tour are worth mentioning for
they point to sinister intentions of this political appointee. At the
great ancient shrine at tirukkadaiyur, we hear of his encounter
with a certain Abirama bhattar who we are told that while being
‘immersed’ in worshipping at the temple gave serfoji a wrong
interpretation on the state of moon’s waxing and waning (he is
supposed to have said it was a full moon day when it actually was
a new moon day). Serfoji is supposed to have decided to test the
same and pronounced a punishment if the person under question
In the age of Kali

was proven false. Then during the evening as the perturbed
brahmin started singing praises of the goddess enshrined in
order to seek divine intervention and escape punishment,
serfoji fell asleep and dreamt of a sky with full moon. Upon
awakening realized his mistake of doubting the brahmin’s
sincerity and revoked the punishment. The credibility and
ingenuity of this incident is very much doubtful and appears
to be a modification of the story of encounter between the
pallava monarch mahendravarman and the illustrious saiva
saint appar that took place fourteen hundred years ago and
that had eventually led to the reconversion to saivite faith of
the great mahendra pallava.
The second one is serfoji’s questionable intentions on
repeated references to medieval chola monarchs (particularly
Raja Raja) and plagiarizing of their styles and ways of life.
This points to a possible intention of his to either compare
himself to them (which is certainly not possible) or to
expound a view that he should be regarded as their legitimate,
legal successor. Given the well known antiquity of the Chola
clan, their divine connection from times immemorial with
tamil south, and nevertheless the kind of savage enmity
that existed between the cholas and the dynasties of deccan
the proposal for acceptance of this view would only point
to the astonishing levels to which one can stoop to realize
selfish objectives. It was during this period of 18th and 19th
centuries that the sankaracharya mutt at kumbakonam that
would go on to become infamous kanchi mutt came into
existence.
I have to say that in these days of increasing selfishness and
dumbing down, of being forced to put up with at all spheres
characters whose moral codes are at the level of that of a
snake’s teeth, the gut instinct of the gentlemen for knowing
what is right and what is wrong is being subjected to great
pressure continually. The survival of virtuosity and truth
is greatly dependent on the exercise of this dormant gut
instinct.

Tomato: Anti-cancer food of
health-care from the nature
Abstract: Tomato originally grew in Central America and South
America, but it is now widely planted around the world as an
admirable plant as well as an edible vegetable that we eat almost
everyday. Besides, there are various beverages, snacks and
refreshments made of tomatoes selling well at madeinchina.com
due to the fact that those products are becoming increasingly
popular as people are paying more and more attention to their
health.
Tomato and its nutrient contents
It can be dated back to as early as Ming Dynasty when Tomato
was first brought into China. With so many years of improvement
of the tomato’s species according to the rule—— “survival of
the fittest”, the tomatoes nowadays are not only more admirable
but more scrumptious than ever. It is vegetable as well as fruit,
and is processed into tomato juice, tomato source and tomato
cans of all kinds.
Mainly cooked as a vegetable, tomato is loved by house wives
and is frequently used in the kitchen because it is rich in many
nutrient contents. Therefore, it is strongly recommended by
experts of dietetics who always emphasize the significance of
its abundant vitamins, mineral compositions, carbohydrates,
organic acids, and a small quantity of protein. Vitamin D is the
guard of our arteries, protecting us from high blood pressures.
Gglutathione, an anti-cancer element of resolved protein can
magically delay aging process of cells. Funnily, the carotene
which is believed to uniquely exist in carrots is also found in
tomatoes. The carotene is very conductive to the calcification of
our skeletons.
Apart from what mentioned above, lycopene is the most
remarkable of all the other important contents that deserve your
concerns. Similar to carotene, the lycopene is also functioning
as an antioxidant which can to some extent protect our bodies
against angiocardiopathy and some cancers. The recent research
has shown that lycopene is extremely good to women in that
it can somehow guard the uterus against hysteromyoma and
cancer.
Tomato and its processed food
Tomato is quite helpful to digestion due to the large amount of the
peptic substances in it——the citric acid and apple acid. In order
to make it more handy and instant to enjoy the good taste and the
nutrition, we think of many ways to process tomatoes. There are
tomato juice to drink and tomato source or rather ketchup to go
with pasta, crisps and anything you like. The lycopene is times
higher in ketchup than in fresh tomatoes but the edible cellulose
is much fewer. Since nothing is perfectly satisfactory in every
aspect, it is totally up to you to choose tomato or ketchup. The
only thing we are quite sure is that our website will always do our
best to satisfy you with our high quality products and excellent
service. Please feel free to visit and login in our website and we
are open to any question.

We are all in the business of influencing.
If you’re working for an advertising agency or any of its
related disciplines, that is the case without a doubt. But
whatever line of work you’re in—whether you’re the CEO
of a multinational company or a volunteer firefighter in
Chinatown—the job will for sure involve some kind of
influencing.
It then goes without saying that we are all influencers but
because man is a social animal, he too is influenced by others.
And one way of tracing how human civilization developed
is to find out who influenced who. The first millennium
of mankind’s history witnessed individuals who shaped
the destiny of various nations while a few notorious ones
brought great hardships. Now that we are in the second
millennium, it is of interest what the new influencers has
in store for the hip and ultra-tech generation.
From the dawn of time, men have looked up to something
or someone to gain a sense of who they are and their place
in the scheme of life. Famous personalities, in particular,
have been the barometers—self-appointed or not—of
how common people behave. This fact is more apparent
now in this age of multimedia mania. Basically there’s
virtually no place that can’t be reached by the gyrating of
a Latin singing sensation or the rhetoric of a sweet-talking
politician.
These individuals, by virtue of their social stature and sheer
talent, have become celebrities. There’s Madonna, who—
despite the enormous accomplishments and notoriety
she has already achieved—just keeps on going like an
unstoppable dynamo. Heir-apparent, Britney Spears, is
showing great potential as well. Other Hollywood stars like
Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts and filmmakers George Lucas
and Steven Spielberg continue to make their presence felt.
In the local scene, the indestructible Sharon Cuneta and
the controversial Kris Aquino are household names and
you have to be from Constellation Lyra not to know them.
In the world of sports, there’s no question of the influence
that Shaquille O`Neil and other NBA giants have on
aspiring young athletes the world over. Even Michael
Jordan who came out from a much-hyped retirement is
still a figure to contend with. The football arena which
is usually associated with Latin America and Europe are
steadily breaking new grounds. In Asia, South Korea and
Japan are hotbeds of talents like Hidetoshi Nakata whose
stature is rivaling Beckham’s and Ronaldo’s. Filipino
sportsmen, where art thou? Oh, yes…Manny Pacquiao.
Iba ang Pinoy!
Politics? That cesspool is a veritable source of maggots. But
let us mention the names of the few good men and the notso-
good-bordering-on-incompetent politicians. Vladimir
Putin, the less charismatic successor of the colorful Boris
Yeltsin is now leading Mother Russia to a new era after
9-11. Jordanian King Abdullah’s taste for populism is
evident when he goes out to public in disguise as he tries
to herald a moderate government to a region where the
opposite is the norm. For the other group, George Bush
and Panfilo Lacson lead the wolves’pack. `Nuff said.
Finally, the working class. Throughout the 90s, dot-com
entrepreneurs, investment bankers and venture capitalist
were emulated because of the millions they rake in. Then
the heroic efforts of New York emergency personnel during
the 9-11 attacks suddenly made people re-evaluate their
priorities. Faceless yet collective in power, these ordinary
people may yet prove to be the real force to reckon with.
Teddy Casino and Satur Ocampo…read and learn.
But are people the only influencers? The unenlightened
may say yes but this view is incorrect. Another history
lesson to remember: the human condition is developed
by three interconnected factors and these are the events,
the players and the places. The latter is by far the most
ignored aspect and this risks incomplete judgment. We
should always remember that people are influenced by the
environment they live in.
Already more than 300 years old, multi-ethnic United
States of America started out as refuge for the religiously
persecuted Puritans of England. Now, its form of
government, economic system and national lifestyle has
been duplicated all over the world. Other multicultural
nodes such as Australia, France and Malaysia are also
magnets to people in search of better lives.
Japan, the land of electronic what’s-its and great sushi,
may be in an economic rut right now but it has a lot
more to offer. Read: those visually-stimulating Japanese
animations, robo-dogs and outlandish teenage fashion
which are putting young people spellbound. With the

Hindu Rituals
Why Do we Follow Them?
Why do we wear marks (tilak, pottu and the like) on the
forehead?
The tilak or pottu invokes a feeling of sanctity in the wearer and others. It is
recognized as a religious mark. Its form and colour vary according to one’s
caste, religious sect or the form of the Lord worshipped.
In earlier times, the four castes (based on varna or colour) - Brahmana,
Kshatriya, Vaishya and Sudra - applied marks differently. The brahmin
applied a white chandan mark signifying purity, as his profession was of
a priestly or academic nature. The kshatriya applied a red kumkum mark
signifying valour as he belonged to warrior races. The vaishya wore a yellow
kesar or turmeric mark signifying prosperity as he was a businessman or
trader devoted to creation of wealth. The sudra applied a black bhasma,
kasturi or charcoal mark signifying service as he supported the work of the
other three divisions.
Also Vishnu worshippers apply a chandan tilak of the shape of “U,” Shiva
worshippers a tripundra of bhasma, Devi worshippers a red dot of kumkum
and so on).
The tilak cover the spot between the eyebrows, which is the seat of memory
and thinking. It is known as the Aajna Chakra in the language of Yoga.
The tilak is applied with the prayer - “May I remember the Lord. May this
pious feeling pervade all my activities. May I be righteous in my deeds.”
Even when we temporarily forget this prayerful attitude the mark on another
reminds us of our resolve. The tilak is thus a blessing of the Lord and a
protection against wrong tendencies and forces.
The entire body emanates energy in the form of electromagnetic waves -
the forehead and the subtle spot between the eyebrows especially so. That
is why worry generates heat and causes a headache. The tilak and pottu
cools the forehead, protects us and prevents energy loss. Sometimes the
entire forehead is covered with chandan or bhasma. Using plastic reusable
“stick bindis” is not very beneficial, even though it serves the purpose of
decoration.
perennial stand-off between Western and Islamic nations,
Turkey—a secular government with an overwhelmingly
Muslim population—may find its position as a bridge
towards greater understanding between peoples. Other
countries, by virtue of the cultural hegemony they have
over a vast area of land, like Indonesia, China and Spain
(via Latin America) are hot places to be in right now.
Things too can exert influence to people on varying degrees.
Humans have a predilection of attaching themselves to
an object which has grown fond to them because of its
usefulness and appeal. Through habitual use, this results
to the development of a behavior or character trait. Today,
highly-technological media objects dominate the scene.
Sometimes, objects like a newspaper & TV may come to
represent an institution from which great influence can
emanate.
The Philippines has long been mesmerized by the finger
muscle-challenging exercise that is SMS or text messaging.
Meanwhile, as cellphone manufactures are getting hyper
about fancy WAP applications and next-generation
technology, the rest of the world has only recently come
to terms with this relatively humdrum feature. Talk about
delayed reaction. MP3, a file format which allows for the
download of music via the Internet, is also making raves
despite Napster’s fate. Now, almost everybody has the
means to appropriate the reproduction and distribution of
music.
Al-Jazeera, the Qatar-based TV station, shot to international
fame when it broadcasted the scoop on Osama bin Laden.
For a long time, Al Jazeera is the only broadcaster in the
region to air real political debates and controversies. Its
influence is only exceeded by the number of complaints it
has received. For our part, ABS-CBN has truly evolved to
become a powerful media conglomerate regardless of the
negative vibes we associate from this Lopez brainchild.
And of course, let’s not forget, with the latest special
effects technology in filmmaking, there’s hardly anything
that Hollywood can’t do. It has been a rollercoaster ride
for movie buffs since the first Star Wars movie opened in
1977. A whole new world was practically ushered in where
make-believe characters and whimsical places tickle our
fancy. To top it all, the critics and award-giving bodies
are happy of this development. Remember Titanic and
Gladiator?
Lest anyone mistake this article as the last word on the
subject of influence, I’m taking the opportunity to say
that it isn’t. Every second, an idea is born. That idea will
influence people to take on certain actions that will in
turn shape societies. Those societies will later on produce
individuals who shall lead, entertain and educate. This
is the spiral of influence, not circle. A progressive spiral
which gets bigger and bigger until it becomes an allencompassing
entity that touches lives, creates new ones
and changes history forever.
So the question is not really a matter of who gets influenced
by whom. At the end of the day, everybody gets influenced
and gets to influence as well. So resist not the lady who
coaxes you to boogie woogie, or fear the man who declares
war to an imagined axis of evil, or hide the urge to text-in
your inner most emotions to a loved one. The important
thing is you have expressed yourself and felt the humanity
inside.

Without an effective sales marketing strategy, most businesses
would fail within a very short period of time. By simply putting a
product or service on the market without the proper research and
planning, the chances of finding success are almost nonexistent.
While there are isolated cases of success with very little sales
marketing preparation and practice, any business that wants to be
successful understands the importance of sales marketing. Even
products that have already undergone an initial sales marketing
effort can begin to see improvement with the consistent
introduction of new sales marketing ideas and techniques.
One of the most common ways a business can begin looking at
how to come up with effective sales marketing strategy is to look
at the words that make up sales marketing separately- marketing
and sales. By taking these two words and then proceeding to
produce itemized lists that indicate areas that need improvement
can make a manageable foundation on which to build new sales
marketing strategies.
Begin with the market that a product or service is geared towards
and reassess the information that is currently known about that
particular market. It might be necessary to hire independent
research firms in order to learn more about a target market in
order to get new information for new sales marketing ideas.
Make a point to note what products or services are being
purchased and how effective the current sales marketing plan
is working for those products. Those ideas might be applicable
to other areas that aren’t as successful. For the products that
are already producing reasonable or exceptional sales, consider
what can be done to sell even more of these items to existing and
new customers. Consider markets aside from retail that may not
have been previously looked at like corporate, industrial, bulk
and institutional markets.
Next it is time to consider what sales marketing strategies
are being used by the competition and how effective they are
for them. Think about how to expand the current market of a
product in order to make it more profitable. Consider joining
forces by packing a product with another company’s product
if they could complement each other and be an irresistible
package to the consumer. For example, if a photographer wants
to generate more business, a new sales marketing strategy might
be to join forces with a florist where both benefit from making
referrals to each other. A floral and photo package might be just
the niche most couples are looking for in order to have the kind
of wedding they want at a price they can afford. A look at the
supply chain and a business’s position in relation to the overall
market in order to assess where change is needed and for ideas
on new sales marketing strategies.
After looking at the factors that affect the sales marketing of
a product, it is time to consider key factors for a new sales
marketing strategy. Consider new promotional ideas for each
product or service, think about if the price of the product or
service should be made more competitive, maybe the service
or delivery of a product needs to be addressed and unique new
ways in which to build a loyal customer base.

Wealth Secrets:
The Instant Gratification Quiz
By Raymond Aaron
Have you found yourself up late at night browsing the Internet looking for the next guru
with all the wealth secrets? Do you just know a product or service out there will open
all the doors to wealth secrets instantly? Or do you think anything that promotes instant
gratification is a get-rich-quick gimmick? Take this quiz to see if instant gratification is
possible in your pursuit to double your income.
1. Instant gratification
a. Is a quick fix, but no real way to get what you want
b. Is a good thing
c. Is self-indulgent and harmful
d. All of the above
e. None of the above
2. The only way to achieve tough long-term goals
a. Is through a lot of blood, sweat, and tears
b. Is to do it yourself
c. Do what you love
d. All of the above
e. None of the above
3. If something is worth doing,
a. Careful thought and consideration will get you there
b. It’s worth doing now
c. It will always be there for you
d. It usually costs too much money
4. You can have anything you want now.
a. True
b. False
5. Having it now doesn’t work
a. If you aren’t willing to make a habit out of your goals
b. If you aren’t consistent
c. Because it is a mind trick
d. Both a and b
e. All of the above
Answers:
1. (b) is a good thing
Believe it or not, instant gratification really does work. The wealth secrets lie within
the boost of self-esteem and self-worth that you feel from doing one simple action and
finding success.
2. (c) do what you love
Actually when you do the things you love, the goals won’t seem so tough over the longterm.
It’s just getting started. This is where instant gratification plays such a significant
role. Let’s say that you want to take a weeklong vacation every month. Then do it.
Even if you only go out for a day with your family to a local part, start telling yourself
that was the best weeklong vacation you’ve taken. If you want a sports car, go to the
dealership and sit in the car every week. You will feel instantly gratified and inspired
to get out there and do it more.
3. (b) it’s worth doing now
If something is worth your time, start doing it now even if it is just an abbreviated
version of what you want to do. A lot can be said for careful planning, and at the same
time, this can paralyze you from actually making your first move towards your tough
long-term goals.
4. (a) True
You can have anything you want now. It’s true.
5. (d) Both a and b
The wealth secrets within this answer lie within making things a habit on a consistent
basis--even if it’s only an abbreviated version. It’s not a mind trick. We’re all adults
here. You can’t trick yourself. However, it may be somewhat like a game in the
beginning.
The secret to all wealth secrets is to do what you love, now. What is wealth anyway?
Can we really put a dollar amount on it? Or is it just simply having the means to live
your life how you love living it?

Are you a business owner, solopreneur, network marketer, sales
executive, or even working at a career or job? How many people
do you know that are “reading” about the Laws of Attraction,
and talking about the Laws of Attraction - and wanting to create
six figure to multimillion dollar incomes - and yet are stuck,
frustrated, stressed, and generally in lack? Do you feel like no
matter how hard you try, you are totally alone - chasing after
your financial freedom or dream business? Do you believe that
wealth creation is exhausting, not inspiring and meaningful?
Do you ever find yourself frustrated from spinning your wheels
and not having much to show for it? Well, I know exactly how
you feel because I’ve been there - trying too hard, having too
much going on at once, and doing too much. What I really
needed was a clear perspective - and to SIMPLIFY my focus so
I could maximize my results. I’m an Intuitive Business Coach
who works with smart but overwhelmed business owners and
individuals to dramatically increase focus, energy, profitability,
and fulfillment in all areas of their lives. Are you ready to put
yourself in the driver’s seat of an Accelerated Vehicle to your
business, network marketing, or Sales and marketing success?
For the past fourteen years, I’ve been facilitating personal and
professional breakthroughs for people, and startling ones at that
- from helping someone attract a million dollars in three months,
to helping someone else achieving a 60K income from scratch in
four months, to having a client appear on PBS Miracle Cures for
the healing of an incurable injury.
I want to share with you three secrets that I’ve learned for myself
(and then passed on to my clients) that have shifted them out of
their struggle, to create a profound and sudden breakthrough in
their finances or whatever “obstacle” they were facing. I showed
them what I had learned - what it feels like to LIVE in your
dream - to actually experience your success, not just wish it
would happen.
I know firsthand that the three step process below is powerful
beyond what you can imagine if you really do it and apply it. I
have witnessed profound breakthroughs - incredible significant
leaps out of “stuck” into new freedom from using this simple
process. And I want to share with you that no matter where you
find yourself at this very second, right in this moment you can
INSTANTLY begin to turn your business around by shifting how
you focus your mindset, by working with these three concise
steps to get you focused in the right Attraction direction.
Ask yourself, “What do I want to be Living and Experiencing
in my Life in the Next Six Months?” Here are three of the Top
Secrets that most people do not understand, which blocks them
from seeing the Law of Attraction manifest their desired results.
1. Clarity of Intent Get clear - Crystal Clear - about what you
INTEND to experience. “If I could really experience a radical
breakthrough in my business - one that made me feel energized
and excited - what would that look like?”
For business clients, that means doing some strategic
introspection, and really “looking” at what you have in your
life, versus what you WANT in your life and business. It means
scripting your desires so that they represent a clear upgrade.
My clients are astounding individuals who come to me for the
mentoring and skill-building to help them stay focused and
excited about this step.
Scripting your desires would mean that after you finish reading
this - yes, right after - you would commit to thinking about “the
radical breakthrough” question and then writing down what the
details would be if you were experiencing your result. Who would
be there - an interviewer asking how you got where you were? A
friend congratulating you on your success? An astonished client
with a large check, or many checks? What would you see and
feel and hear and smell?
2. Expectation Expectation is all about BELIEF. Do you believe
it’s possible to have what you desire? Do you believe that you
deserve it? Do you believe the Universe is capable of delivering
it to you? The best way to approach expectation is with a sense
of positive appreciation. You are already FEELING the emotions
of having manifested your goal, in the clear detail you outlined
in step one.
If you are clear about your intention, your expectation is positive
and you willingly practice the feelings of having your goal
already manifest, you will begin to receive intuitive flashes of
inspiration/guidance about step three.
3. Inspired Aligned Action Goal-oriented striving often involves
action, but it is action you take as you try to figure out the ‘how’s’
- “How am I going to accomplish this?” “How will I get there?”
“How can I possibly make this happen?”
Conversely, inspired and aligned action involves detaching from
‘how,’ and allowing yourself to hear your intuitive hunches and
gut feelings. For example, you may suddenly have a thought,
“Hey, I should get in touch with so-and-so.” And then you follow
through on the aligned action, only to discover that the person
you called is in need of your services, and in fact, can recommend
you to several others who are also looking for exactly what you
have to offer!
These three Top Secrets represent a significant shift from
traditional business thinking. With this in mind, if you are
looking for financial success with more heart, more time, and
more wealth, I encourage you to take action and get yourself
the support and accountability structure of an intuitive business
coach or coaching group. Setting yourself up with exceptional
support is one of the optimal keys for pushing through the
highs and lows. You will learn quickly the skills you need to
more rapidly create financial freedom and live a life filled with
possibility, best ever results, and continual promise.

have done it before or not. It strengthens the stomach and makes
the back and pelvis more flexible, thus helping you with normal
delivery. There are yoga classes specially designed for mothersto-

elasticity. In due course, your body : fat ratio gets changed and
the so called “Ageing” pops its head out. Don’t fall for those
anti-ageing cosmetics. Join Yoga classes instead. Yoga removes
toxins from all over the body and lengthens the onset of ageing.

Vedic
Astrology
by S. Tanna
Jyotisha (known in the West as Vedic Astrology),
from India, is the traditional Hindu form of
astrology that stems from the Vedas (ancient
religious texts).
There are three main branches:
- Siddhanta - Astronomy and its use in astrology
- Samhita - Astrology predicting important events
such as wars, earthquakers, political events,
stockmarket, etc.
- Hora - Astrology for prediction of personal
matters
Indian astrology is generally based on the concept
of fate, and this includes Hora (personal astrology).
The theory is that a person is born at the exact
time and place when their fate is in mathematical
harmony with the progress of the stars in heaven.
Furthermore, the good and the bad actions of your
past life determine your fate or karma of your
present life, and equally the actions that you do
now will determine your fate or karma in future.
However it would be a misunderstanding to believe
that your future is completely predetermined.
Astrology simply provides a tool to help you
understand who you are when you are born,
what your future possibilities are, what are your
limitations, what are your personal strengths and
weaknesses. From this, a vedic astrologer can
make recommendations about matters such as
what type of profession and life partner will suit
you, and what remedial measures you should take
in your life to avoid problems and pitfalls. In other
words, astrology simply provides a roadmap of
your destiny, but your final destination remains in
your hands.
One way to think of it is: fate is like a card of
games. You can not change which cards you have
been dealt, but how you play those cards remains
your decision. If you get good cards and play them
poorly, you will do badly. Conversely even if you
are dealt bad cards, if you play carefully, you may
still win!

There has been a general impression that innovation in a visionary
corporation innovation takes first place. Employees are often
pressured to be innovative and that innovation as such does not follow
a procedure and occurs randomly. While it is true that innovation is
the life blood of enterprise, often it becomes meaningful only when it
serves up a specific business requirement. It is fostered to address the
same. My assertion is not to underplay those innovations that may not
be useful to me today but can be so after 50 years in a big manner (I’m
paraphrasing Michael faraday).
It is also very true that most business related commercial innovations
are by products of those researches which actually focussed on
building transportation and communication for serious military and
space ventures. For example by using technologies used to build a
nuclear cruise missile submarine we can produce more than 10,000
commercial applications that can very well be analysed and classified to
suit specific business applications over a period of time. In fact Boeing
serves as a good example. It is quite foolhardy and unadvisable from
a visionary company perse to invest and foster innovations without
purpose and I can tell you that visionary companies do not make this
decision. After all technology is a temporary asset. There exists many
technical options for a particular business requirement. Freedom of
thought, speech expression and tolerance for mistakes comes as a part
of a non-exploitative business practice. A company would infringe
with employee rights and rules if he fires him unfairly. It is should
not be a core-competence of any company. If a company behaves in
that manner of being exploitative then it has to be blacklisted and
dissolved. Ditto with ethics. Where as ethical business practices are
most compulsively desired, they are not a property of company or its
sole right.
A visionary company exists at the first place because of its vision and
mission. It is service minded organization, that has carried itself ahead
day-to-day by the virtue of its values and ethical, truthful conduct of
business. In this regard it may be desirable to quote George Merck on
Merck’s vision:
“We try to remember that medicine is for the patient. We try never
to forget that medicine is for the people. It is not for the profits. The
profits follow, and if we have remembered that, they have never failed
to appear. The better we have remembered it, the larger they have
been.“.
As excerpted from the talk by George. W. Merck
At the Medical College of Virginia at Richmond, December 1, 1950
A statement like above should confirm a visionary corporation’s stand
on innovation.
The exceptional stress laid on being committed to service and make
oneself more and more accountable for one’s activities is further
enunciated from George Merck’s own confession that he :
“ Firmly believes that management should not be in control of the board
in a public company, owned by the public and in public service.”.
Merck sets his own public responsibilities as high as his company’s.
Before World War II, he served (unpaid) on the Munitions Board’s
Chemical Advisory Committee. At the height of the war, he also
directed all the Government’s sprawling research on biological
warfare (for which he was later awarded the Medal for Merit). Merck
still makes frequent trips to Washington as a consultant to Defense
Secretary Lovett. His public-duty commitments range from his local
zoning board, his local hospital and state chamber of commerce, to the
executive council of the American Cancer Society and the board of
visitors of the chemistry and biology departments at Harvard.
The other factor that keeps a visionary company apart id their
willingness to take risks. The policy for risk taking is usually defined
as follows:
• Think smart and innovative.
• Take meaningful risks and avoid foolhardiness.
• Defy odds.
• Set yourselves high targets and time.
• Avoid plagiarism.
Next is commitment to preset goals. A visionary company stays
committed in the following manner:
• Do more than just lip service to the goals.
• Take those steps that may seem unconventional but are productive.
• Discipline and focus the team towards achieving the same.
• Put the goal ahead of everything else.
The last point should remind one of Boeing corporation.
The next stage is building the vision. A lot of painstaking effort is
expended at this front by visionary corporations. A lot of factors come
into picture. After a careful analysis of data and purpose, a company’s
vision is conceived with following guidelines:
• Adherence to truthful practices.
• Service orientation.
• Constant improvement.
• Meaningful business ventures.
• Operational excellence and efficiency.
• Value addition.
A trader is a go- between between a customer and a source of
raw material. There by trade is a service. Honesty and ethics are
requirement and not choices. What drives an enterprise is knowledge
and innovation and not greed for resources. What keeps it alive is
its accountability. The next thing is With respect to home grown
leadership. Nothing can be further from truth than the assertion that
I have the absolute right over resources of earth. If a company can
diversify into many sectors it can also bring in people from other
sectors and try new management practices that do not infringe with
ethics or stifle an employee’s justifiable rights at promotion. Adopting
strict policies on home grown management only can result in a lot of
corrupt practices related to lobbying, nepotism and insider trading. I
would be the last person to agree that it would be fair to put in a life
time effort and take pains to identify and develop a business and then
transfer the ownership of the same to a stranger but I have to consider
honest and eligible people for managing assets. Aim of enterprise is to
inculcate values, nurture talent while creating assets for noble causes
and utilities. In this regard Johnson&Johnson and Nordstrom serve
as very good examples. Come on let us start the noble mission of
building visionary company!!
